Cloud Appreciation Day

When was the last time you looked up and smelt the clouds and can you tell the difference between cirrus, cumulus or nimbus? You may be able to after spending an hour or two on your back in Cherry Tree Wood at its forthcoming Cloud Appreciation Day.

Those who come along to the family-friendly event on Sunday 10 September from 2pm to 4pm will also be able to learn about north London resident Luke Howard, the man who named the clouds in 1802.

Ground sheets will be provided but you can bring your own blanket if you wish. The observation point will be on the field; keep an eye out for a gazebo.
