Named after Sorrento – an area of the Campania coast -‘Gnocchi alla Sorrentina’ embodies the spirit of this region, where locally sourced and simple ingredients are mixed together to create delicious food! Making this dish is family affair, with everyone chipping in to make the handmade potato gnocchi and tomato sauce. Everything is traditionally finished in the oven, which melts the fresh mozzarella and parmesan into delicious, gooey strings of cheese.
Gnocchi are nutritious and a good, healthy source of calories and vitamin B that will give you energy. They also contain less flour than normal pasta and are a lot easier to digest than durum wheat pasta.
Eating tomatoes is also good for our anti-inflammatory responses and is beneficial to our overall heart and brain health. They’re a great source of potassium and are linked to lowering high blood pressure.
